Fee Fi Pho Yum*

Since tickets for the Dali exhibit at LACMA were all sold out this weekend, M and I couldn't decide what to do. Watch a movie? Go bowling? Definitely wasn't in the mood for shopping, but we knew we wanted something tasty to eat to compensate for waking up early and going to LACMA only to go find a big honking xeroxed sign on a small podium saying "DALI SOLD OUT."

M suggested Mimi's Cafe as the place to go, but that's always our default pit stop if we can't think of a place we haven't tried. I was down to try some pizza joint in Eagle Rock, but our tummies were growling as we made our way through Atwater Village. Since I usually drive by the area on my way from work, I knew we had to try this vietnamese restaurant- Indochine Cafe. The service at the restaurant was fast and friendly. We didn't need to ask for silverware or for water, the waiter promptly sat us down (maybe cuz we were the first customers of the day and were really hungry?). Anyway, I ordered the cold noodles with chicken and the portions are huge! I couldn't even finish my bowl but I savored every bite until I told myself, "No more! (cuz I wanted to check out Toni's Rolling Pin Bakery next door..hehee)

Anyway, this place is good to grab a quick bite and there's plenty of street parking around the neighborhood. The prices are reasonable and I give it three egg rolls for awesome service (the place has cool decor, too).

*ok, I didn't order Pho, but I wanted a cheesy title. :P
